The importance of job and occupational guidance.

The boys and girls, who study Vocational Training in any center, receive quality technical training that allows them to enter the labor market properly as well as continue with their university studies if they so wish. They receive knowledge, theoretical and practical, of the corresponding subjects depending on the cycle they are studying. Obviously the subject of "Oral cavity hygiene" is totally different from the one of "Accountancy”'. But, in addition to the subjects of each vocational training, there are some others that are called transversal, because they are taught in all of them. One of them is "job and occupational guidance". It is composed of, depending on the specialty, two or three training units which are, the labor market, types of employment labor contracts, preparation of payroll sheets and the prevention of laborl hazards.

The subject is focused from a perspective of informing the student of:

- What the labor market is, its composition, tools for the search for employment.

- Rights and duties of workers, types of employment labor contracts, types of severance pay.

- Education and compliance with the labor risk prevention law, protection plans, individual protection elements, contents of a first aid kit and a minimum of first aid.

The subject should be focused on using all the didactic tools as powerpoint presentations, explanatory videos of the teachers posted on the platform, videoconferences that are recorded to be watch in any time, the book of the subject and different activities to be carried out by the students that are punctually corrected by the e-teacher with the consequent solution posted at the time. The present of teaching is the blended of face-to-face classes and online work

We firmly believe in the importance of this subject because students will not only have to apply some skills acquired during their years of study, but they will also have knowledge which will allow them to have some tools to look for a job, knowing that their legal situation is right in that company, understanding and verifying that their payrolls are well done and a minimum knowledge of health and safety in their professional activity in order to prevent accidents and occupational diseases.
